Aperian Global offers a full range of tools and services for international assignees and their families relocating to other countries. Applying our “blended approach”, we assist employees throughout the entire cycle of their global assignments. These solutions include:

  1. The Candidate Assessment Process (CAP) offered by Aperian Global is based on decades of research and practical experience. The CAP is an experiential process which utilizes a variety of methods to assess a candidates’ potential for effectiveness while living and working in another culture, including proprietary online survey tools and in-person interviews. It is comprehensive, efficient, and respectful of candidates’ own choices as well as their privacy. Our candidate assessment is carried out by a group of consultants who have strong backgrounds in the field of expatriation, including industry thought leaders.

  2. We offer Pre-departure and Post-arrival Training Programs to international assignees and their family members who are relocating for mid- and long-term assignments. These programs provide participants the critical information to "thrive," not just survive, in their new country. Our “Thriving in…” programs are typically one to two days in length; they can be delivered either at client sites or at our own facilities. It is also possible to deliver one day of pre-departure training in the home country location and one day post-arrival training in the host country after the move.

  3. There are a number of ways we can provide ongoing support to international assignees who are newly assigned or already present in country. The optimum support formula depends on location and type of assignment, but can include:
    • On-site Coaching to assist international assignees in the adjustment process and to ensure maximum effectiveness on assignment;
    • Follow-up Support for International Assignee's Spouses/Partners that addresses the special challenges spouses/partners face abroad, from accomplishing day-to-day tasks to connecting with social networks or working through their own career issues;
    • Letters from Home,  web-based support consisting of voice-narrated messages pushed through a customizable email system that addresses the kinds of issues each international assignee and family member is likely to be facing at that point in their assignment;
    • GlobeSmart®, our flagship web tool that offers all international assignees ready access to business-focused advice and information on a 24/7 basis.

  4. Repatriation is a strategic part of the international assignment cycle that is often overlooked even though each assignment and represents a substantial investment. Aperian Global assists our clients during this phase through training programs that prepare families for their return, structured debriefing sessions that focus on capturing the valuable knowledge international assignees have acquired during their assignments, and web-based methods for disseminating that knowledge to employees who can benefit from it.
