Best Practices Database: Content-Rich, Practical Advice

At the core of the GTO tool is the Best Practices Database. The database, which is dynamically linked with other segments of the web tool for easy reference, provides advice on 36 team skills that mirror the survey items. Each topic contains:

  • Issue Diagnosis: Bulleted statement of symptoms the team is likely to experience if they score poorly on the corresponding survey item.
  • Best Practices: Collection of more than 190 best practices compiled from Aperian Global's decade of experience working with global teams, interviews with field experts and corporate team specialists, and an extensive literature review.

Navigation through the Best Practices Database is achieved through an intuitive menu tree that guides the user through multiple levels of information.

Upon completion of the survey, users are led to a summary of the team's results and an action plan that pulls in the team's priority issues. The Team Leader can customize the action plan to help focus the attention of the team on critical development areas. Detailed reports graphically map how team members feel the team is performing in each skill area. Reports available include:

  • Full List of Survey Scores
  • Survey Dimension Scores
  • Team Strengths
  • Team Weaknesses
  • Team Priorities
  • Gap Analysis
  • Written Comments
