Ted oversees the development of Aperian Global’s online learning tools such as GlobeSmart, the reference tool on how to do business effectively around the globe. He has also been instrumental in the creation of Aperian Global’s online Assessment tools as well as Learning Paths used by many of Aperian Global’s clients. Ted was born and raised in Japan, where he spent the first 20 years of his life. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado and his Master of Arts from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California, where he formerly taught as an adjunct professor.

Dr. Gundling assists clients in developing strategic global approaches to leadership, organization development, and relationships with key business partners. He coaches executives with global responsibilities and works with multicultural management teams to help them formulate business plans based upon strong mutual understanding and a joint commitment to execution. He has lived and traveled extensively in Asia and Europe, including six years in Japan and a year in Germany. He is currently a Lecturer at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Gundling holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Arts from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University.

Simone-Eva is Aperian Global’s polyglot Practice Group Leader for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. She has held senior operational and marketing positions with multinationals around the world, such as: Citi, Disney and Lufthansa. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas, coursework from the Albert-Ludwigs Universität in Freiburg, Germany, and a Master of Business Administration/Master of International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona. Simone-Eva oversees the leadership development process (design, facilitation) of learning sessions worldwide: from coaching senior executives to developing a global mindset, to accompanying board teams to lead complex, matrixed multinational teams with agility. Simone-Eva is also a Business Coach. A trilingual (English, French and German) nomad, she grew up in five countries (Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, USA), and has worked in the USA, Germany, Senegal, Saint Lucia, Mexico and France.

Lisa delivers a wide array of organizational development, coaching and training services, with a special emphasis on the performance and alignment of global and virtual teams, as well as global leadership and change management. She brings extensive global team experience to her consulting work, having previously managed global Sales & Public Relations teams while working for the Institute for International Research (IIR) and Ketchum Public Relations during five years living in Singapore. Lisa also managed Human Resources at two diverse non-profit organizations, where her focus was on diversity in recruitment and talent development, and she led multicultural teams worldwide for an intercultural exchange organization early in her career. She holds a Master’s degree in Intercultural Studies with an Organizational Development focus from Lesley University in Boston, Massachusetts. Lisa is certified in MBTI and PROSCI Change Management, she is a certified coach from Newfield Network in Colorado, and she is well-versed on the suite of Aperian Global assessments and online learning tools used in delivering real-time individual and group coaching on global business effectiveness.

Keiko Sakurai has expertise in team-building, change management, diversity and leadership development for multi-national companies. Before joining Aperian Global, Keiko served as a CPA for PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she led audit teams for financial audits and internal control assessments of global clients. Keiko holds a MBA from the Haas School of Business from the University of California, Berkeley, with a certificate in Global Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Hitotsubashi University in Japan, where she graduated with top honors. Keiko also completed the coaching and leadership courses at the Coaches Training Institute in California. Keiko is a CPA, a certified MBTI user, and NLP practitioner. Keiko is a Japanese native born in Tokyo, and lived in Thailand and Germany in her childhood. She is bilingual in Japanese and English.

Morten has over 17 years of experience as a consultant, trainer, executive coach and facilitator throughout the intercultural and global leadership fields. Morten provides global and cross-cultural training, virtual teaming skill development, change leadership and leadership competencies development, executive coaching, team effectiveness and strategy implementation workshops for senior leadership teams. Additionally, he is experienced in the design and delivery of leadership pipeline assessments and development centers. Prior to joining Aperian Global, Morten was a long time internal senior organizational leadership consultant with IBM, a top Fortune 100 company. He is currently also an External Lecturer at Copenhagen Business School. Morten holds a Master’s of Business Administration focused on International Enterprise from the Open University Business School in the UK, a Master of Arts in Literature and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Aarhus University, Denmark. Janet has significant talent management field experience across China, the United States, and Asia, with a particular focus on talent acquisition, talent deployment, and leadership development. She has worked with senior leadership teams in global companies like Apple (China) to design talent management plans that match individual needs with business goals and with small start-ups like WorkWise (New York City) and Broad-Minded Business (Tokyo) to build and bring to market unique and local-relevant service offerings. Previously as a member of Korn Ferry’s Leadership and Talent Consulting team, Janet developed the leadership assessment and coaching service offerings, covering projects for multi-national companies and Chinese enterprises on individual and team assessments, high potential identification and development, and competency modeling. Janet has also served in field HR roles in Singapore, Chicago, and New York. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and is certified in MBTI, NLP, Situational Leadership II as well as several Lominger Leadership Architecture Suite offerings: Learning Agility, CHOICES, and Interview Architect. Prior to joining Aperian Global, Ekaterina was as a Senior Consultant for Richard Lewis Communications, identifying & implementing customized client solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients. She’s also been a soloist in a number of opera productions, concerts, and festivals around Europe. Ekaterina has dual citizenship of Sweden and Belarus and holds a Master’s Degree in Linguistics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Opera singing. She has also previously been a lecturer at Belarusian State University and has lived and worked in Belarus, Austria, the U.S., the United Kingdom and Japan. Ekaterina is well-versed in various existing cross-cultural & communication models, assessments and online learning tools. She is currently a motivational speaker with the Athenas Speakers Bureau in Sweden.

Mercedes Martin is the Director of Consulting, Inclusion & Diversity with Aperian Global. Mercedes has over two decades of experience with Strategic Business Consulting, Inclusion Coaching, and Global Leadership Development. She helps clients to shape their inclusion strategies, drive organizational transformation, and cultivate their global talent. Mercedes encourages leaders to examine their own approaches to gaining and sharing influence, while exploring their personal experiences and enabling them to build everyday workplace inclusion skills. She seeks to establish a shared, mutually supportive cultural context for each group to achieve strong business results. Mercedes draws upon her creativity and her experience with both domestic and global teams to build synergy between business and social cultures.
