Ekaterina von Gertten partners with clients to foster their development in the areas of team building and interpersonal communication, and delivers workshops on cross-cultural negotiation and conflict management techniques. Her areas of expertise include Sweden and other Nordic countries, Japan, and Russia and the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). Clients with which she has worked range from industrial manufacturing to government entities.
Prior to her affiliation with Aperian Global, Ms. von Gertten worked as a senior consultant at Richard Lewis Communications and is a certified practitioner of The Richard Lewis ModelTM. She was also an associate with Better Business International, focusing on global mobility and organizational development.
Hailing originally from Minsk, Belarus, Ms. von Gertten has traveled a great deal and has spent significant periods of time in the U.S., England, Austria, and Japan. She facilitates coaching and training sessions in English, Swedish, and Russian, and currently resides in Stockholm with her Swedish husband.
Ms. von Gertten holds an MA in linguistics, specializing in Germanic languages. While in Belarus, she was a lecturer at the Department of International Relations at Belarusian State University. In addition, she holds a BA in opera and has performed in professional opera productions. Beyond her role as a trainer and facilitator, Ms. von Gertten is an active public speaker with the Athenas Speakers Bureau in Sweden.
