Janet Mi has worked for the past 20 years in the United States, China, and various other Asian countries, implementing innovative and business-relevant talent acquisition strategies to identify, develop, and deploy top external and internal talent. For Aperian Global, she designs and delivers customized diversity and cross-cultural leadership development programs for clients. Past clients have included multinational companies in the technology, pharmaceutical, automobile, energy, and professional services industries.
Several of Ms. Mi’s previous roles have focused on talent acquisition, as well as on-boarding, development, and role transitions for ensuring and maximizing full potential. One project included the development of leadership assessment and coaching service offerings for a new consulting group within Korn Ferry International, through business development and coaching network expansion efforts. Ms. Mi has also led and implemented projects for multinational companies and Chinese enterprises across Greater China on competency modeling, individual and team assessment, and high-potential identification and development.
Ms. Mi is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese and has lived in eight cities across Asia and the United States.
She is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Lominger Leadership Architect Suite, Situational Leadership II, and NLP. She holds a BS degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Ms. Mi enjoys jewelry, traveling, scuba diving, aquarium visiting, and inspirational stories.
