Sonya Kaleel is a leadership coach, facilitator and inclusion practitioner with nearly 30 years in learning and talent development. She supports organizations around the globe in capacity building to cultivate inclusive environments, lead transformational change and develop as global leaders. Ms. Kaleel expertise is leading initiatives and facilitating conversations that foster awareness and bridge differences across diverse styles and beliefs so we can work together, better.
Ms. Kaleel has coached individuals and teams on a variety of topics that include cultural proficiency, diversity and inclusion, global leadership, inclusive teaming, people management, and country-specific cultural programs, with a specialized focus on Arab cultures. She has extensive cross-cultural experience as an expatriate, having lived and worked in Belgium, Switzerland, and Egypt. While in Egypt, she was a performance consultant for Computer Troubleshooters Egypt where she managed the hiring, team development, and training for this start-up business. She has represented Aperian Global in the Middle East and North Africa facilitating intercultural programs and leading the research efforts for GlobeSmart.
Ms. Kaleel has lived in five countries on four continents, traveled to over 30 countries and resides in Austin, Texas with her multiracial family. She aspires for a world of inclusion, participation and belonging and is committed to cultivating sustainable communities in Austin and beyond.
Ms. Kaleel holds an MSc in Learning and Organizational Change from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She is also active in her community serving on the board of the Austin Council Parent Teacher Association (ACPTA) which acts as a link between the Austin Independent School District (AISD) and parent/family community.
